A self-taught artist, was born in Louisville, Kentucky. The oldest of three sons, Sweatt was reared in single-family household. Victor credits his mother for his strength and determination which helped him to survive and excel in the tough inner city neighborhoods of West Louisville.
An artistic visionary, Sweatt captures thought provoking, emotional moments in time, dramatically portraying human interactions and surroundings. Pushing himself to achieve his fullest visions, Sweatt explores the tremendous versatility of each medium and is very proficient in pastel, watercolor, and charcoal.
Working exclusively in realism, Sweatt is inspired by the ancient Egyptians hieroglyphics. “I want to create art that is not only beautiful, but insightful, educational, and inspiring as well.” A dedicated, award winning artist, Sweat is a signature member of the Louisville Visual Art Association, the Kentucky Artist Pastel Society, and the Kentucky Watercolor Society. The art of Sweatt has been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions, and appears in public and private collections throughout the United States.
