The descendant of slaves and a legacy of brutality, a maid tries in vain to remove the “slave ship” stain from the floor. But the stain is too deeply imbedded, not only in the floor, but within her being. She remembers the brutalities inflicted on her ancestors. She continues to see daily injustices perpetrated against her people, against her family, against her race. She's sick and tired of being sick and tired. She's compelled to scrub away the stain.
