Charly Palmer
Charly Palmer was born June 29, 1960 in Fayette, Alabama and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since 1981, Palmer has made a career of Graphic Design and Illustration. In 1992, Palmer moved to Stone Mountain, Georgia and opened a design and illustration studio - TP Design, Inc., with his partner. Since then, TP Design has been featured in more than twenty different publications and has also established a list of clients that reads like a Who's Who of Fortune 500 corporations, with such names as Coca Cola, IBM, Pepsi, Disney, and McDonalds, to name a few. Palmer has continued to pursue his fine arts dreams. His work has been featured on television and in many publications such as Essence, Ebony, and Upscale magazines. "What makes my work unique is not what I'm saying, but how I'm saying it." Palmer goes on to add, "A trademark of my art is the circles, and hidden messages throughout the piece." A trademark that is obviously appealing to quite a few art collectors, including the late Honorable Maynard Jackson, the Honorable Andrew Young, and Mayor Bill Campbell of Atlanta. Palmer's work is also a part of the public collection for Apex Museum of Atlanta, Milwaukee City Hall, Miller Brewing Company, Wisconsin, and many others. Palmer has also received numerous awards and recognition. He obtained his formal training from the American Academy of Art and at the School of Art Institute, both of Chicago, Illinois. His remarkable images are done with acrylic and marbelized papers on board.
