Foreman is a full-time artist represented by E&S Gallery, Inc. He is a self-taught sculptor and artist, who works primarily in ink, acrylic, and watercolor. Andre' is known for creating images that on first glance appear to as loosely painted images. But upon closer viewing, intricate details serve to reveal endearing figures with distinct personalities.
Foreman gained national attention when he was selected as the official artist to design the 2012 Kentucky Derby Festival poster. The Derby Festival poster series began in 1981 and is nationally recognized for having helped to enhance the careers of artists from around the country. In 2012 Andre’ Foreman was selected as the official art of the Festival’s 57th annual celebration, and the first African American selected to create this prestigious image.
Foreman has always participated in numerous art shows and exhibition, including The Madison Art Club and Foreman received a one-man show at Indiana University Southeast. Foreman, is a Marine Corps veteran who grew up in Louisville, KY. “I worked in the corporate world for a while, but now everything I do comes back to art.” Most of what Foreman create is related to everyday life…, and it’s almost as if he has trained his brain to be like a camera.
